The use of images in comic books can substantially supplement a narrative, and the best example of this is some of the comic books from France. Here is a sampling of artwork from a French comic book series about an alternate Earth where architects have complete artistic control over the design of cities. An architectural vision is portrayed that becomes the centerpiece of the comic book.
