The idea and statement made by proponents of the free market that
only the rich or corporations can provide jobs is a full support of political and economic hierarchy. Those who have a monopoly on access to the means of production will provide jobs, but they are jobs that the worker can not freely choose because they are not in a position to seek alternatives. The fact that those in power offer precluded choices does not make it the right course of action, because it is a blatant restriction of freedom.
